Brezini’s violin project consists of sculptures in which real violins are transformed into evocative, rhythmic and mysterious forms. Her violins are broken, split, and turned upside down amid metal arrows, wood hangers, bolts, nails, license plates and carved objects. The body of the violin is constantly stretched, broken, obscured and altered, yet emerges recognizable.
